Panic attack is one of the worst things that could befall a person. Once he or she is diagnosed to have this disorder, life would be tantamount to misery if neglected and not treated. Nobody ever wants to have panic attack. If you happen to have a friend or anybody you know who has this disorder, you will most likely see how hard it is for them.
Psychology books and literature describes panic attack as a sudden “period of intense fear and discomfort”. The word “fear”, alone by itself, already signifies something not good, what more if you add the word “intense” to it. The symptoms (and the real thing that happens during an attack) would constitute palpitations where you could swear that your heart can do 60 mph in less than 3 seconds, you will also experience severe sweating and trembling, and of course a lot more to add to it.
When people ask what causes such a problem, the answer would be many. Of all the researches and studies conducted for this disorder, there is still no pin pointing of what really is the major panic attacks cause. There are however a few factors that triggers this disorder.
What they have instead are things like the environment. Environment is one of the things that could cause panic attack in people. Imagine for example the level of alcoholism of addiction to tobacco and other things, and these has reached you, for sure, the possibility of acquiring panic attacks is greater.
Another cause we could blame for panic attacks would be a person’s biological make up. If there is something wrong with the brain, then it is more likely to develop panic attack. The reason here is that when there is something wrong with the brain, then its function will be curtailed and bit and it won’t operate well. This is why people get psychotic disorders and sometimes, these disorders can lead to panic attacks.
The last factor we will pin point in this writing is genetics. Many believe that panic attack can be caused by inheriting certain attributes from family members, parents or grandparents which could trigger some disorder. Studies has shown that among the sufferers of panic attack, most of them have in their lineage a history of one or two relative to have suffered from disorders as well.
The environment, one’s biological make up, and their “fathers” are the main contributors for panic attack. Maybe in the future, when there will be a breakthrough with the disorder, we could pin point the major panic attacks cause.
As of now, let us be satisfied with the information that we have. We must be aware and we must guard ourselves from acquiring such disorder if it can be prevented. One sure way to prevent it would be to stay away from stress as much as you can.
